Why?

Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

What we do

How does Sunshine State Credit protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

 

How does Sunshine State Credit collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

n  Apply for financing or use your credit or debit card

n  pay your bills or give us your contact information

n  provide account information

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

n  sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness

n  affiliates from using your information to market to you

n  sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.

 

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

n  Nonaffiliates we share with can include companies’ engaged in financial services, medical providers, insurance companies, law firms, credit repairs agencies, debt consolidation agencies, direct marketing companies that are selling consumer products and services, etc.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

n  Our joint marketing partners include insurance companies and other financial service providers and can include companies’ engaged in financial services, medical providers, law firms, credit repairs agencies, debt consolidation agencies, direct marketing companies that are selling consumer products and services, etc.

Important Information about Credit Reporting

We may share your personal information, as permitted by law, with the vendor whose name appears on the credit application you completed and submitted. You cannot limit this sharing.

Nevada Residents:

If you are a resident of Nevada, the following Telemarketing Notice applies to you. We may contact you by telephone to offer additional financial products and services that may be of interest to you. You may elect not to include your telephone number on our internal Do-Not-Call list if you do not wish to receive telemarketing calls from us. If your telephone number is included on our internal Do-Not-Call list, we may still contact you for servicing purposes.
